Join
Brazilian healer, Edemir Rossi, for an extraordinary
week of transforming ourselves into the spiritual
warriors we were meant to be. In today's "nothing-new-under-the-sun-kind-of-world," you'll
be transported to the rare, visionary world
of Edemir and enjoy a unique opportunity to
learn with other like-minded seekers.
The
Villa Sumaya hotel, where the retreat will be
held, is seductively situated on the picturesque
shores of Lake Atitlan (4500 ft above sea level.)
With an uninterrupted vista punctuated only by
a skyline of three perfect volcanoes, Villa Sumaya
is the ideal destination
of rest, reflection and natural beauty. An unpretentious,
thatched-roofed complex boasts a lakefront location,
spectacular views, spacious gardens,
a cascading waterfall, a hot tub, a sauna, and
outdoor pergolas in a natural, beautiful setting.
For pictures of the retreat facility, please
see their website at:
www.villasumaya.com.
During
the week, we will be doing transformational work
with Edemir and deepen our mediation practice.
Yoga, massages and other spa activities will
be available. Excursions and activities that
will be available to you include:
-
A
demonstration of the ancient Mayan art of
weaving.
-
A
fire ceremony with traditional Mayan shaman
using herbs, chocolate, colored candles,
lemons, eggs, and copal (tree resin.)
-
A
boat trip and historical tour of the village
of Santiago by a Mayan guide in full traditional
dress, concluding with a visit to a home
where we will see the inner working of a
traditional Mayan household.
-
A
healing experience at the thermal hot springs
and a visit to San Antonio and Santa Catarina,
two traditional villages with indigenous
populations that still dress in native styles.
-
A
recognized authority on Mayan culture will
teach us about Mayan mysticism, the meaning
of the Mayan Calendar and the principle archetypes
of the Mayan religion, society and culture.

Join
Brazilian healer, Edemir Rossi, for the
adventure of a lifetime, taking us to one
of the seven wonders of the world...sacred,
mystical, and mysterious Manchu Picchu.
Visiting
the heart of the Inca Empire, we will enjoy stunning
views of the Andes with amazing heights and landscapes.
Machu Picchu, which rises to an altitude of
7,900 feet above sea level, is located in a lush
jungle. This Lost City of the Incas is one of the
most famous examples of Inca architecture and is
believed to have been built in the mid-15th century
by Inca Pachacutec. Lost in history, hidden
from the conquistadors, Machu Picchu was not discovered
until 1911 by the American explorer, Hiram Bingham.
It is a sacred place of unforgettable sunrises
and beautiful moonlit nights.
We
will also visit Cusco, the oldest city in the western
hemisphere, charming, pleasant and a fascinating
mix of Inca and Colonial architecture and culture.
Horseback riding will be an option for those who
want to have a more adventurous tour of the terraces
of Moray. We will visit Lake Titicaca in the
southern highlands, on the border between Peru
and Bolivia. It is the largest lake in South
America, and the largest lake in the world
above 6,500 feet. At this altitude, the lake shines
an iridescent blue through the clear sunlight.
This is home to the Uros people, who live a
lifestyle built upon the totora reeds that grow
in the shallows of the lake.
All
the while, we will be doing transformational work
with Edemir and having the opportunity to deepen
our meditation practice in a series of holy locations.
Experience the meeting of the shamans, as Edemir
and Puma, a renowned Q'ero shaman, work together
to introduce us to the healing gifts of the apu
(the mountain spirits) of Peru. Puma will also
guide us through Machu Picchu. This will allow
us to learn of things that are not in the guide
books – what he has learned through Spirit
about this wondrous and holy place. |
Cost:
$2450
The
fee includes: registration, lodging,
most meals, guides, ground transportation,
and train. Horse
back riding is additional. Tips
and airfare are additional. We
will fly from the United States
to Cusco, Peru (via Lima) and return
from Juliaca, Peru (via Lima).
Full
payment is due by January 5th.
Three installments are welcome
and should be received as follows:
January 15th - $1000
February 15th - $1000
March 15th - $450
Single Supplement - $800
Trip insurance is recommended.
